Innovative Laboratory Equipment Design
5R. PT MK IV
Lab Machine
The MK IV is astep forward in print test equipment. Like its predecessors it has the facility to allow speed adjustment so as to as close as possible, mimic the operation of its full scale production relatives.
The new design is a step forward as the rollers are driven from one end rather than mounted at both ends as in previous designs.
Roller (1) is a smooth oscilating roller to help spread the product on to the bonded rubber Ghosting Roller (2). This roller is easily removed from its frame to allow easy application of product for cleaning.
Roller (3) is a polished roller (known as The Transfer Roller) this allows an even coating of the product when worked with rollers (1 +2).
Once fully coated the Transfer Roller is then moved over to the Print Roller (4). The movable framework allows the rubber bonded Ghosting Roller (2) to keep in contact with the Transfer Roller to prevent Ghosting of the Print Roller (4).
Once evenly wet the Transfer Roller (3) is retracted and the machine stopped.
The Mandrel Roller with the component is now brought into position, at an operator determined pressure. Adjusted by a lever stop.
The Inch Button is now pressed. This will revolve rollers (4+5) one revolution and the device will stop.
The design enables variable speed to rollers and pressure adjustment.
The unit is bench mounted and requires a 220/240 AC fused power supply.
